Aged Care - Certificate IV - CHC40108 - Statewide

Total number of units = 15 (Core = 11, Electives = 4)

Entry Requirements
To gain entry into CHC40108 Certificate IV in Aged Care a candidate must be recognised as competent, through a recognised training program or recognition process agianst compulsory units from CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent).

Duration
This qualification is delivered over 24 month’s full-time employment – unless competency is demonstrated prior to the nominal completion date. Part-time arrangements are available to align with participants’ hours of employment per week. RPL is offered to all participants. If RPL is applicable, the duration will vary per individual.

Target Group
Individuals in the aged care, community services and disability sector with possible titles as Care Assistant, Support Worker, Disability Support Worker, Field Officer, Community House Worker, In Home Respite Worker.

Pathways
A direct pathway does not exist exists for CHC40108 Certificate IV in Aged Care however candidates may choose to undertake future training in different streams of the CHC08 Community Services Training Package including, CHC40308 Certificate IV in Disability, CHC40608 Certificate IV in Leisure & Health, CHC40708 Certificate IV in Community Services Work or a range of other Certificate IV or Diploma qualifications from the Community Services Package.. They may choose to go on and complete either their Enrolled or Registered Nursing
